This year, 2021, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization has launched the 'International Year of Fruits and Vegetables’. In light of this, The Biocultural Education and Research Programme in collaboration with Slow Food Barbados and Barbados Independent Film Festival is embarking on a national initiative to promote conservation of our local plant stock. This is an opportunity for us to highlight and recognize the value of plants and their contribution to the quality of our lives, especially as we battle the COVID-19 pandemic.
