SustainaBIM Winners

The SustainaBIM video competition was designed to target the youth and give them a voice on issues of Food and Nutrition Security. In this year of Fruits and Vegetables (UN FAO), we need to promote the value of local resources and our young advocates are on the job.

We are pleased to announce the winners of the competition, Brandon Squires and Sandana Thorpe! Their video premiere can be viewed below.

We express thanks to Slow Food Barbados and the Barbados Independent Film Festival for the collaboration.

Sincere thanks to the team for management of the competition, Jamila Jones, Nicole Sealy, Christa Padmore.

Appreciation is extended to the Global Environmental Facility, Small Grants Programme, UNDP, for the continued support.

Student Videos Premiere

On June 6th we premiered the videos produced by the winners of the SustainaBIM competition. These young advocates, Brandon Squires and Sandana Thorpe must be congratulated for their efforts at video production with a message. They are providing ideas on how to curb our food import bill, the value of our local foods and how we can maximize our resources. Look out for more exciting videos from these ambassadors as they emerge from a masterclass on film production to sharpen their skills.
